Smaller baskets are also great for holding small items such as pens, paper clips and note pads. These can be placed on your desk or in the bathroom to keep things organized.

History of Basketry

Basketry or the art of basket weaving dates back to the olden days. Although there’s no data that can prove how old the craft is, people have been making baskets many long years ago using perishable materials such as grass, wood and animal remains.

Reports however note that the oldest known baskets were made some 10,000 to 12,000 years ago and discovered in upper Egypt. Other older baskets were found some 7,000 years ago in the Middle East.

So remember that whenever you want to organize your stuff at home or in your office, do consider these baskets.
